Playing outside with your infant, the importance of staying hydrated, and grossing out your partner are all tips from this weeks Daddy Tips!

  1. This week’s first Daddy Tip is a fun little test you can try out on your infant. The baby grass test. If you have a baby that is like 9 months old or younger, set them on the grass and see what happens. There is a good chance that your kiddo will completely freak out. And if they don’t, just know that you have a rare baby. Most newborns and infants will freak out because the hundreds of blades of grass will feel really crazy and give them a sensory overload. Charlotte hated grass when she was a baby, but Izzy is the just the opposite. Try it out with your kid!
  2. The next Daddy Tip is to get your kid addicted to water at an early age. Charlotte had always preferred juice or milk over water but we wanted her to drink more water. Now we make sure to only have water with dinner and only bring water with us when we go out. After a couple of weeks of her watching us drink a ton of water, that’s the first thing she asks for now. Stay hydrated, homies. And do it with water.
  3. And the final Daddy Tip this week is for any parents and kids who are bug lovers. Help your kid find bugs and then tell him or her to go show them to anyone else in the house who hates them. Charlotte loves catching bugs and I don’t mind them at all, but my wife isn’t a fan. So I like to help Charlotte catch spiders, millipedes, and other disgusting looking bugs and then have her tell her mom that she has a surprise for her. Nothing better than hearing “what’s the surprise, Charlotte?” and then hearing a scream or a “take that outside now!” from the other room.

And now it’s time for an awesome Dad Joke!

Q: What tastes better than it smells?
