The number of cruises on the Great Lakes is set to increase in 2020 with new routes and a new ship planned for the future.

Cruise the Great Lakes started in 2018 as a way to promote cruises and tourism on the Great Lakes. Members are planning a total of 66 cruises on the Great Lakes in 2020. That's an increase from 51 in 2019 and 45 in 2018.

Cruises take place in May through October and include ports in:

  • Milwaukee
  • Chicago
  • Montreal
  • Holland, Mich.
  • Muskegon, Mich.
  • Sault Ste Marie, Mich.
  • Mackinac Island, Mich.
  • Marquette, Mich.
  • Duluth, Minn.
  • Kingston, Ontario
  • Little Current, Ontario
  • Midland, Ontario
  • Morrisburg, Ontario
  • Thunder Bay, Ontario
  • Erie, Penn.
  • Green Bay, Wis.
  • Manitowoc, Wis.

Victory Cruise Lines, Blount Small Ship Adventures and Pearl Seas Cruises are all currently offering Great Lakes cruises.

Cruises can last over two weeks with Blount Small Ship Adventures' Chicago/New York cruise lasting 16 days and 15 nights and starting at $5,149.

More options and more ships are coming soon. Viking plans 20 trips through the Port of Milwaukee in 2022.
