Ghost kitchens, restaurants that only offer take-out or delivery, have really been catching on during the pandemic. This week, celebrity Chef, restauranteur, and Food Network host Guy Fieri, opened six Flavortown ghost kitchens in Michigan.

According to MLive, four are currently taking online orders, serving up Flavortown favorites like Cheesesteak Eggrolls, the Bacon Mac 'N Cheese Burger, Crazy Cuban Sandwich, and Cajun Chicken Alfredo.

Now, unfortunately, the closest one to us here in West Michigan is in Lansing. I'm hoping the Triple D host opens even more, because right now the ghost kitchens are mostly on the east side. The six Michigan Flavortown Kitchen locations are:

  • Lansing - 2970 Town Centre Blvd
  • Livonia - 38888 Six Mile Road
  • Livonia - 17700 Haggerty Rd
  • Rochester Hills- 286 N Adams Rd
  • Sterling Heights - 17430 Hall Rd
  • Utica - 12575 Hall Road

According to Crain's Detroit, the Flavortown Kitchens are operating out of Bravo! Italian Kitchen and Brio Italian Grille locations, which are owned and operated by Orlando-based Earl Enterprises. An Earl Enterprises spokesperson tells Crain's that the Flavortown Kitchens are in a "soft opening phase".

Currently orders for Flavortown food can be placed via the Flavortown Kitchen website, Flavortown app, Grubhub, DoorDash, Postmates, UberEats, and Seamless.

Here's to hoping for some Flavortown Kitchens in West Michigan! Hmm... I don't think anything has opened up at the Bravo! restaurant on the Beltline that closed last year yet? C'mon, Fieri, we want to go to Flavortown too!

Recently Chicago-based Wow Bao started up ghost kitchens across West Michigan. What other restaurants would you like to see come to the area via ghost kitchens?
