Halloween Takes Over as Michigan’s Most Romantic Holiday
If you ask anyone what the most romantic day of the year is, outside of their own anniversary, they'd probably tell you Valentine's Day. Right? At least, that's what I used to believe...
It turns out, Michiganders find a completely opposite holiday to be the best time to get busy.
Betway Insider decided to do the dirty work (no pun intended) and look into how many babies were born nine months after a holiday in each state between 2021 and 2022. And their results may surprise you...
What Holiday is the most romantic in Michigan?
I don't know if love is in the air, or we really think costumes are hot, but more Michiganders get busy on Halloween than any other holiday throughout the year.
In fact, the data shows that Halloween is to be the most romantic holiday for Michigan residents with almost 10,000 babies being born 9 months after the holiday in October! So if you have a July birthday, you may have a few questions to ask your parents...
However, if you thought Valentine's Day would be next on the list, you're still pretty far off. If your birthday is in August, it turns out your parents are amongst many other Michiganders who thought that Thanksgiving was the most romantic time of the year. 9,400 babies were born during this time previously, making it the second highest birth month of the year.
Not far behind were Christmas, Spring Break, and the fourth of July, which all beat out Valentine's Day for being the time when most Michigan babies were conceived.
So if you're looking to get lucky, make sure your costume looks great because Cupid isn't going to be your only hope if you live in Michigan.
