Bratwurst comes in many different flavors, shapes, and sizes. But one West Michigan grocery store recently made the biggest brat I had ever seen!

This giant German sausage is the work of the folks at Hansen Foods, located in Hart, Michigan. They didn't just make it for the heck of it, though. Nor was it to break some sort of world record. The brat was created in honor of Bratfest, an event held at the store on Saturday, October 11.

The finished product measured 100 feet long when all was said and done. Or, as the store described it on Facebook, "bigger than two T Rex's placed end-to-end!!"

And it's not like you can just throw a brat of this size on a grill to cook it. They first put the whole thing in an oven, and then finished it on the grill as folks showed up to partake in Braftest. Attendees were able to purchase a "piece of history in a bun" for just $4, which included "all the fixins."

As you can imagine, rolling this giant brat out to be cooked was a spectacle in and of itself. Check out this video from Hansen's of what I can only think of calling a "bratwurst parade."

Sadly, we've all missed out on Bratfest, but according to Hansen's Facebook page, Bacon Fest is coming up in a couple of weeks! (Are they going to make a giant bacon weave to celebrate? Guess we'll have to wait to find out.)
