Lions’ Injury Nightmare: Is the Season Over Without These 16 Players?
This season has been a wild rollercoaster ride for Detroit Lions fans.
We've experienced some incredible highs, such as breaking new team records seemingly every week.
However, we've also faced some scary lows, with key players going down with painful, season-ending injuries.
As more players get hurt week after week, Lions fans are starting to worry that despite an incredible season so far, the end might be near.
Lions' Injury Nightmare: Is the Season Over Without These 16 Players?
I'm proud to be a Lions fan, but have to admit that I am also one of those concerned fans.
I believe in Dan Campbell and his incredible coaching staff and players, but there are only so many injuries one team can handle.
Have we reached that point? I certainly hope not.
One of the hardest things about losing a player is when they're a team leader and captain.
Some of the biggest injuries to this years teams happened to key players.
Aiden Hutchinson: He suffered a major injury during a game against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 6, resulting in a broken tibia and fibula.
Initially, this injury was expected to sideline him for the entire season, with a recovery timeline projected at four to six months following surgery but things are looking better that he might be back for the Superbowl if the Lions can get there.
Alex Anzalone: He suffered a broken arm during a game against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 11.
Initially, it was reported that he would be sidelined for 6 to 8 weeks, which raised concerns about his availability for the remainder of the season.
However, recent updates indicate that Anzalone is making significant progress in his recovery.
Let's take a look at all 16 players who have been injured this season.
