One of America’s Most Instagrammable Wineries Is Located In Michigan

When you think of beautiful wineries, there are a handful of places that always come to mind. Napa, California, Spain, Italy, and maybe even France.

But one of the most Instagram worthy wineries in the United States is located less than a gas tank away from you here in Michigan.

The website The Thinking Traveler revealed their list of "most instagramable wineries" recently, which included multiple rankings based on a forbes article on the top wineries in the world. They compiled the data, and took to instagram to find out which winery's hash tags had the most posts.

Most of the top wineries in America come from California and New York, but sitting at number 15 on the list is:

Mari Vineyards in Traverse City

This beautiful vineyard makes you feel like you've been transported to Napa Valley, without leaving Michigan. According to their website, "Mari Vineyards is dedicated to making exquisite red and white wine from experimental Italian grapes alongside traditionally grown appellation varieties."

And it's easy to see why over 2800 people have tagged themselves at this fairy-tale of a weekend escape.

One of the best parts of visiting Mari Vineyards is the fact you can have the full experience without it being incredibly stuffy.

They offer tours, tastings, their own tasting room bar, as well as a beautiful fireplace you can sit beside and enjoy a glass with a charcuterie board. No matter the time of year, Mari Vineyards feels like a relaxing retreat.
