After watching the documentary 'Don't F*** With Cats' on Netflix, this story spooks me more than a little.

Concern has spread on social media about the possible mutilation of cats around the city of Allegan.

WWMT reports that Melissa Gilbert, the manager of the Shell station on M-222, said a mutilated cat was found in a garbage bag in a dumpster behind the station by a customer on Friday, January 10.

This caused a reaction on the private, local Facebook page 'Allegan Informed', where it was implied that several cats have been found in the community in similar states.

Police say no other incidents have been reported to them of mutilated cats, and as such they cannot verify any other incidents involving cats.

“I find it absurd that someone would do that to an animal. It’s just not right,” Gilbert told WWMT.
