For today's Daddy Tips, Steve recaps his daughter Izzy's sleeping situation and gives some tips on how to make your toddler a better sleeper.

  1. This week’s first Daddy Tip is a trick I learned on a rainy day a couple of weeks ago. If you have a toddler who is done with napping like my daughter Charlotte is, give a nap a try on a rainy day. Charlotte actually napped after months without, and it was all because it was raining. I just kept telling her it was a rainy day and those days are lazy and boring and eventually she agreed to take a nap. Try it out for yourself and you might be surprised that your little one takes a nap.
  2. The next Daddy Tip is another tip that has to do with getting your toddler to sleep at a decent hour at night. Now that summer is right around the corner and the days are getting longer, it’s been harder and harder to get Charlotte to sleep at a decent hour because she says it’s still light outside. So, we got some really dark curtains for her room and now it’s dark in her room before the sun fully sets so she has been more cooperative about bedtime when her room is dark.
  3. And the final Daddy Tip this week is a follow up from last week where I asked for your help in getting my infant daughter Izzy to sleep in her crib. Well, she still doesn’t sleep the entire night in her crib, but after putting her crib on an incline with the crib wedge, she will now sleep a little bit in the crib before eventually waking up. So, that’s some progress, right? So my final tip this week is all about persistence. Training an infant or toddler to do something, isn’t an easy thing to do, so persistence is key. So, if you have had an issue like me, just know that you can’t give up and you just have to keep trying until eventually they learn.

And now it’s time for an awesome Dad Joke!

Q: What do you call an ugly dinosaur?
