Chick-Fil-A Is Taking Over Michigan: New Locations Coming Soon
When the first Chick-fil-A opened in Kentwood back in 2016, it was such a big deal that the traffic line went for miles and backed up the highway for days. All so you could get a taste of that Chick-fil-A Sandwich with a soda with that fancy ice (you know what I mean).
Now the fast-food restaurant has expanded to 28 restaurants around the state and has no plans of stopping anytime. The company has announced it is looking to double that number within the next four years.
Expansion Plans
Since its inclusion in the Mitten state, Chick-fil-A has been a major hit and the company has realized how essential Michigan has become to its business. That's why on September 4th, Chick-fil-A announced it would be expanding further into the East side of the state, aiming
"to open 25-30 new locally owned and operated restaurants" by the end of 2028."
Expansion Locations
According to a press release, 12 locations are coming to Detroit/Ann Arbor, 2 locations are expected to open in Lansing/Jackson by the end of 2025, 1 location is expected to open in Flint-Saginaw by the end of 2025, and 1 location will open in Benton Harbor in 2025.

What's Next?
For now, Chick-fil-A continues to be a dominant force in the fast food industry. Despite dropping to #3 on the "Best Fast Food Restaurants" list after being #1 for nearly a decade, this isn't slowing down their expansion plans at all.
For now, I'll take a #1 Deluxe with a Diet Coke.
