Michigan Music Festival Voted Among Top Ten in the Entire Country

Music festival season is almost here! There's really nothing like jamming to your favorite songs in the great outdoors with a few thousand of your closest friends. Well, one Michigan music fest recently competed for the best in the entire country.

It was up against some big competition too - like Austin City Limits, Bonnaroo, Coachella, and Lollapalooza.

"What's Your Favorite Music Festival?" was subject of a new USA Today 10Best Readers poll. Electric Forest in Rothbury, Mich. was up for the honor!

A panel of music festival aficionados has hand-picked 20 essential festivals from coast to coast where music fans can enjoy several artists (and even genres) in one place - and then it was put up to a public vote.

Electric Forest Came in as the No. 6 Best Music Fest in the U.S. 

The fest was originally named Rothbury Festival and debuted in 2008. In 2012, the event, which focuses on electronic music and jam bands, debuted under its new name, Electric Forest.

No regular partY in the woods, Electric Forest features incredible art installations, colorful lights, and stages that blend into the gorgeous natural environment.

Typically held in late June, an estimated 40,000 to 50,000 people attended Electric Forest at Double JJ Resort in Oceana County last year.
