Employees of a once popular bar in Michigan were quite surprised when they showed up for work yesterday in Livonia and Auburn Hills.

Can you imagine arriving to work and discovering the doors locked with a note informing you that the business is permanently closed?

According to a Facebook post (see below) and the Detroit Free Press, that is what happened to some Bar Louie employees on Sunday, March 23rd, 2025.

That's right, Bar Louie locations in Auburn Hills and Livonia have closed.

That leaves only two Bar Louie locations operating in Michigan; Clinton Township and Royal Oak.

Genesee County residents may recall a Bar Louie location at Genesee Valley Center. The Flint Township location closed in January 2020.

In 2022, I was told by a secret source that a national chain restaurant would be taking over the vacant building. Three years later, the building remains empty.

That is probably for the best as Mo Pete's Bar & Grill and Wahlburgers closed doors at the Genesee Valley Center. Not to mention the number of stores closing inside the mall too.

ICYMI - Macy's and BoxLunch are closing at the end of this month. You can see a recent video inside Genesee Valley Center here.

There is no word if the employees who were let go at Bar Louie in Livonia and Auburn Hills will be relocated to Royal Oak or Clinton Township. We certainly wish them the best.

12 Animals You Must Report If You Hit Them in Michigan

Ever hit an animal while driving in Michigan? Well, it turns out some of them need to be reported. We'll break down the animals you have to call in if you hit them. It’s not just about doing the right thing; it’s also about avoiding any legal issues.

So, who do you call? If you hit one of these animals, you’ll want to contact the Michigan Department of Natural Resources (DNR) or local law enforcement. If it’s an actual emergency, call 911; otherwise, just dial the non-emergency number. They’ll handle the situation and make sure everything's squared away. Just don’t forget to report it.
