After years working in the local film and theatre scene, in the summer of 2019, Alyson shared her dream of opening up a bakery café - and the sisters got to work! Since then, the pair have been operating their business under cottage law, selling their baked goods at pop-ups and farmers markets, and taking online custom orders.

According to their website,

Our products are inspired by our French-American heritage and our nostalgic food and drink experiences from traveling here and abroad. We combine French & American pastry techniques and pair them with flavor profiles found in both cuisines to create unique and exciting treats!

For two years they have been working to renovate a historic storefront on Wealthy St. to open their first brick and mortar location. They recently announced they've passed all their inspections and the Chartreuse Sisters Bakery and Café will hold its grand opening January 14, 2022.
