Which Players With Michigan Ties Were Selected In the 2024 NFL Draft?

This is when and where each former Wolverine player ended up in the 2024 NFL Draft.

No. 10 = J.J. McCarthy

We all know how dynamic of a player J.J. McCarthy is! It makes sense that he was the number 10 NFL Draft pick.

Jim Harbaugh, former Michigan head coach and now LA Chargers head coach, crowned McCarthy as the best quarterback in Michigan's history.

J.J. McCarthy continues on to the Minnesota Vikings.

No. 49 = Kris Jenkins

As the son of Kris Jenkins and nephew of Cullen Jenkins, Kris Jenkins was destined for greatness.

Jenkins started in all 29 games in the past two seasons. He finished his career with 4.5 total sacks.

He is continuing to the Cincinnati Bengals.

No. 50 = Mike Sainristil

Starting as a wide receiver in his three seasons at Michigan, he played in 33 games before switching to cornerback.

The team captain was named Honorable Mention All-Big Ten Conference in his final seasons.

Mike Sainristil is continuing on Washington Commanders.

No. 69 = Junior Colson

After starting all 15 games last season, Junior Colson led the team with 95 tackles, 2.0 for loss, and two passes defensed.

He also earn Second-Team All-Big Ten honors by both the coaches and the media.

Colson is continuing with the Los Angeles Chargers.

No. 83 = Blake Corum

Blake Corum was the Big Ten Conference Running Back of the Year for the 2023 season.

After starting all 15 games last season, Blake reached 366 points and became the program's all-time leading scorer. He also set the school record for career rushing touchdowns.

Corum was selected by the Los Angeles Rams.

No. 84 = Roman Wilson

In 2023, Roman Wilson was Michigan's number 1 wide receiver, catching 48 passes for 789 yards and 12 touchdowns.

With Wilson being a key player, he was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers.

No. 85 = Zak Zinter

Zak Zinter played all four seasons at Michigan as a right guard with 42 starts of 45 games.

He played 2,514 offensive snaps and allowed five quarterback hurries on 296 pass block snaps during the last season.

Zinter is taking his talents to the Cleveland Browns.

No. 121 = AJ Barner

Before transferring to Michigan, AJ Barner spent his first three college seasons at Indiana.

AJ started eight games during this past season. He had 22 receptions for 249 yards and one touchdown this last season.

Barner was drafted by the Seattle Seahawks!

No. 172 = Trevor Keegan

Trevor Keegan was a two-time All-Big Ten honoree. Keegan is also the 2023 National Champion and team caption.

He is continuing his career with the Philadelphia Eagles.

No. 240 = Michael Barrett

In 2023, Barrett gained 65 tackles, five quarterback hurries, three forced fumbles, two pass breakups, and two fumble recoveries.

Michael is continuing into the league as the Carolina Panthers' final selection in the 2024 NFL Draft.

No. 249 = LaDarius Henderson

As the First-Team All-Big Ten Offensive Lineman in 2023, LaDarrius Henderson started 10 games at left tackle for the Wolverines.

Henderson was Honorable Mention All-Pac-12 at left starts with 13 starts in the 2021 season.

He will be taking on the privilege of playing for the Houston Texans.

No. 252 = Jaylen Harrell

Over the past four seasons, Jaylen Harrell has played in 46 games with 31 starts, 78 tackles, eight sacks, 11 quarterback hits, and 19 tackles.

In 2022 and 2023, Harrell became a two-time Honorable Mention All-Big Ten Conference performer. He was also a three-time Academic All-Big Ten performer from 2021 to 2023.

He is continuing his football career with the Tennesse Titans.

No. 253 = Cornelius Johnson

Cornelius Johnson finished off his final season with the Wolverines on a high note!

As a 2023 Honorable Mention All-Big Ten honoree, Johnson played in 15 games with 14 starts during Michigan's perfect season.

He was instrumental in bringing home Michigan's Big Ten Championship win, with nine catches and 64 receiving yards.

Cornelius will be taking his talents to the Los Angeles Chargers.
