Kamala Harris Renames City of ‘Kamala-zoo’ While Visiting For Rally
Vice President and Presidentially nominee Kamala Harris has spent a ton of time in Michigan over the past few weeks. As she campaigns in one of the most intense swing states in the country, she's trying to win over voters in every one of Michigan's 83 counties.
On Saturday during her rally in Kalamazoo, the crowd was so excited to see her, they practically renamed the city after her.

Early on during her speech in a video posted on social media, Kamala stopped mid speech to acknowledge some voters who were shouting nearby. She laughed, realizing they were yelling that she was now in 'Kamala-zoo'.
She giggled at the idea, gave them a shout out (and echoed the comment) before moving on in the speech. (You can see the video below)
She also made a stop at a local watering hole to enjoy some of 'Kamalazoo's' best brews. She joined Michigan's own Governor Gretchen Whitmer at a bar not far from the Wings Event Center, the Trackhouse. They had a candid chat over (Michigan's own) Founders beers and posted the video online for everyone who obviously couldn't fit in the bar beside them.

Vice President Kamala Harris made a big splash during her time in Kalamazoo over the weekend, but will it be enough for her to win over Michigan for the 2024 election? It will be a close race, and it's still anyone's to win. (And maybe she'll come back and visit after the election, too.)
