Donovan Brazier is a world champion and he set an American record in the process.

Brazier, who competed at Kenowa Hills High School, broke Johnny Gray's 34 year old American record with a time of 1:42.34 while winning the 800 meter race at the IAAF World Track and Field Championships at Doha, Qatar.

Footage of the actual race is not available due to copyright issues, but Runners World did catch up with Brazier after his victory.
