WXYZ Detroit reports that a number of big retailers are closing their stores amid the coronavirus pandemic.

TJ Maxx and Marshalls announces that they are closing all their stores in the U.S., Europe, and Australia for two weeks.  They also announced they were shutting down their online shops and distribution centers for marshalls.com, tjmaxx.com, and sierra.com.

WXYZ also said Thursday that Kohl’s and JCPenney announced they were closing for two weeks.  Kohl’s will be closed until at least April 1, but will pay employees two weeks' worth of pay and customers can still shop on Kohls.com.

JCPenney said they’d be closed from 7 pm March 19th through at least April 2nd, and you can still shop on their website.  Interestingly, WXYZ said there was no mention in JCPenney’s press release about paying their employees... hopefully, they will at least for 2 weeks.

WXYZ also reported earlier this week of Nordstrom and Macy’s would be closing for two weeks
