The 2026 NFL Draft kicked off on Thursday night in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

NFL fans in attendance and around the world waited with bated breath to see who their team will pick in hopes of making their team a Super Bowl contender.
With the first pick in the draft the Las Vegas Raiders selected QB Fernando Mendoza who had an incredible senior season, winning the Heisman trophy and leading the Indiana Hoosiers to their first college football national championship.
Detroit Lions' NFL Draft Make-A-Wish Moment Went Viral
The Detroit Lions had the 17th pick and when Roger Goodell came out to the stage he was joined by a 14 year old Easton.
Easton is a Detroit Lions fan and for his Make-A-Wish he wanted to introduce a Detroit Lions player at the NFL Draft.
Make-A-Wish creates life-changing wishes for children (ages 2½ to 18) with critical illnesses to provide joy, hope, and strength.
Many of these wishes, including meeting celebrities, traveling, or getting a room makeover.
After Roger Goodell introduced Easton and informed the crowd of 250,000-plus football fans that this was his wish they started cheering and applauding Easton.
Easton then stepped up to the microphone like he's done this tons of times and made the announcement that with the 17th pick in the first round of the 2026 NFL Draft that the Detroit Lions had selected Blake Miller, an offensive tackle from Clemson.
I love that this was Easton's wish and that he nailed it.
