LaughFest 2016 is off to a hell of a start!

This is my first LaughFest and so far it has been amazing! On Sunday night, I had the chance to see Marlon Wayans along with Deray Davis Finesse Mitchell at the DeVos Performance Hall. HILARIOUS!

Finesse, who was also hosting, kicked off the show and got the crowd going. He did his own set to start off with and got everyone's attention by finding out the different age groups in the crowd. He compared and contrasted what it feels like to be in your 20's, 30's, 40's and 50's. He also brought a lot of truth and laughter regarding the current presidential race. He kept it real while being entertaining. And also did a hilariously spot-on impression of Barack Obama. Overall, he did a great job hosting the event and keeping everyone entertained in between sets.

He had great stage presence, played along well with the audience and was on point with all of his jokes. One of my favorite things he talked about was the difference between drinking with different races, such as blacks vs whites vs Hispanics. For example, Marlon says every white person needs a black friend to keep them in check because when white boys are drunk they like to do dangerous shi** that they think is funny.

Deray Davis was the last one to go on stage and he was the perfect comic to end the night. I was literally laughing through his entire set. He touched on different subjects like his daughter and how this generation of kids are spoiled. Like, what happened to going outside? We used to play outside all the time as kids and if we got punished we wouldn't be able to go outdoors. We'd look out our window and see all the neighborhood kids having fun without us. As opposed to today's kids if you told them they were grounded and had to stay indoors, they'd be cool with it. Deray also talked joked about women and how we get when we're crazy... and being a woman I gotta say he was pretty on point. He had everyone in the room laughing, including all the females.
