Why The Meijer LPGA Classic Is The Perfect Place For Your Family This Weekend
I may be biased since I grew up on a golf course, but it has always felt like Golf was a sport the entire family.
And that's exactly how they've designed the experience for the fans at Blythefield Country Club for the Meijer LPGA Classic that is going on now through Sunday.
Not only is the entire event benefiting simply give, the charity arm of Meijer that helps with food insecurity. But it's also a great opportunity to see some of the best golfers in the world up close.
But if you find yourself thinking "my kids will get bored" or "I can't afford to feed the entire family" you couldn't be further from the truth.
First bonus: If you plan to visit on Sunday, Dad's get in free in honor of Father's Day so bring him out to enjoy the sport.
Secondly, there's putt putt for the entire family. While you can't get right on the fairway of the course, you'll be able to test out your putting skills (no matter your age) at their putt putt course on sight
And the last reason that you want to visit? To chow down: their concessions are extremely affordable considering you're at a major sporting event.
Yesterday when I visited, I was able to enjoy 2 brats for less than $5 which is basically my dream.
Just make sure you don't crunch too loud when they put up the quiet signs.
