Metallica And Zach Bryan Throw Support Behind Detroit Lions In Playoff Run
This weekend the Detroit Lions are looking to be the "Masters Of Passes" during the NFC National Championship when they take on the San Fransisco 49ers. And, now they've got one of the biggest rock bands of all time drinking the Lion's koolaid.
Legendary rock band Metallica is throwing their support behind the Detroit Lions and head coach Dan Campbell during the Lions' playoff run.
Wednesday, the Detroit Lions posted a picture of Aiden Hutchinson, and under it they used a Metallica lyric for the caption.
The band saw the reference to their song "No Leaf Clover", and decided to co-sign the post with a comment of support:
And it's not surprising they're backing the Lions, because Dan Campbell already showed his love for the band when they were in Detroit last year performing. He said that like Metallica, the Lions 'stood the test of time'. Metallica also showed Coach Campbell some love when they were visiting Ford Field
Hopefully the Lions will take this inspiration and "Seek and Destroy the Opponent's Defense" on Sunday.
Dan Campbell may have said he didn't want bandwagon fans to join in on the Lion's franchise now that they're almost to the Super Bowl, but maybe we can forgive these celebrities that are just joining our ranks. After all, the Detroit Lions are America's new team. (Sorry Cowboys.)
