Bank Robbing Blockhead Busted By Police in Michigan After Flexing On Social Media
A 23-year-old Michigan man is accused of robbing three different metro Detroit banks.
Each time he handed the teller a note demanding cash.
Glenn Donnell Pack was tracked down thanks to him showing off on social media several days following each bank robbery.
In pictures posted online Pack would be seen posing with large bills and in one of those posts he was wearing the same clothes he was wearing in two of the three robberies
What Banks Did He Robbed
Over a three-week period, Pack robbed three different banks on Michigan's east side.
Each time he handed the teller a note demanding money.
Bank Number 1 - December 19th, 2023
PNC Bank at 11300 Joseph Campau Avenue in Hamtramck.
The note for the 1st robbery said:
“I am robbing your window, I demand $2,900. Count the bills no stacks no pulling alarm until I exit bank. No GPS money. Follow federal bank policy then nobody gets hurt. Remain silent. Don’t be ignorant.”
Bank Number 2 - January 2nd, 2024
Chase Bank at 20675 Vernier Road in Harper Woods
The note for the 2nd robbery said:
“I am robbing you, Remain calm. Keep your hands in my view. No panic button. Do not be extra. No dye pack no bait bills no GPS. Count from stack of clean bills. Hurry you have 45 seconds. Count $9,000 all hundreds. Count fast I am serious.”
Bank Number 3 - January 12th, 2024
PNC Bank at 22711 South Chrysler Drive in Hazel Park
The note for the 3rd robbery said:
“I am robbing you, Follow my instructions. No alarm no GPS stacks no marked bills. Count from stack of cash. No dye packs. All 100s, $9,000 nine thousand. Hurry you have 30 seconds or else.”
You have to be a complete idiot to think that you could rob a bank and get away with it. The fact that Pack did it three times and then showed off on social media just goes to show you can't fix stupid.
How Much Jail Time Could He Face?
Daily Law Firm says that robbery is defined as the use of force or violence, or the threat of force or violence, in the commission of a larceny. Threatening someone with violence if they don’t hand over their money would be an example. The threat must be convincing, however, as the law requires that the alleged victim must be “put in fear”.
If you are charged with this, you will face a felony with a potential sentence of up to 15 years in prison. So if my math is right, Pack could be looking at up to 45 years in jail.
