Grand Rapids has several dozen roundabouts across the city and later this fall another one is planned to be installed at the intersection of Coit Avenue and Guild Street.
This is in part because of Hunter Hubers, who lives in the neighborhood.
Over the last four years, he has recorded 30 crashes in front of his home.
He decided that enough was enough and collected signatures from neighbors, which he then presented to the city, asking for some kind of solution.
For now, they've set up a temporary roundabout to study its effect on traffic.

During the research, they found that there were more crashes than before, but it lowered the number of fatal and serious injury crashes.
