Michigan Man Is Alive Thanks To Quick Thinking Teen
I hope you've never had the scary and traumatic moment in your life when you're eating something and suddenly you begin to choke.

I was having lunch with my wife, Lindsey, at a German hall on a Sunday several years ago when this happened to me.

We were drinking our beer, and our appetizer came out from the kitchen.
We grabbed our forks and dug into some delicious roasted Brussels sprouts drenched in bacon and Parmesan.
I should have also picked up my knife and cut the piece I was eating into a smaller bite because it got stuck in my throat, and for a good 20 seconds, I thought I was going to die.
Thankfully, I was able to cough it up and didn't need someone to perform the Heimlich maneuver on me.

Last week a man had his life saved by a high school student who had learned the Heimlich maneuver during a CPR class at her school the week before.
Natalie May who is a senior at East Kentwood High School was working at Brann’s Steakhouse and Grille in Grand Rapids on Tuesday March 11th when she heard a woman screaming for help.
She ran over from the table she was cleaning and started to perform the Heimlich maneuver on a man who was choking.
Thankfully, she was able to save his life, and they even posed for a picture together afterward.
