WWE fans in Michigan showed up and showed out last night for Monday Night Raw at Little Caesars Arena, proving once again just how passionate the Mitten State is about professional wrestling.

Just weeks after Friday Night SmackDown packed Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids, WWE sold out LCA in Detroit with more than 14,000 fans in attendance for a wild, emotional night that honored legends and set the stage for SummerSlam.

Bailey’s Kroger Meet-and-Greet Was Standing Room Only

Before the main event even began, fans packed into a St. Clair Shores Kroger to see WWE superstar Bayley, and the turnout was so massive, Bayley herself posted on social media to say she’s never seen a bigger crowd at a store appearance.

Detroit’s energy carried right into the arena Monday night.

What Happened on WWE Raw in Detroit?

The night started heavy, with the first live broadcast since the passing of Hulk Hogan, who made wrestling history in Michigan. But WWE honored his memory with the kind of electric show he would’ve loved.

Here are the top moments:
• Paul Heyman and Jey Uso traded emotional words ahead of SummerSlam. Heyman accused Uso of chasing a family lie, while Uso fired back with trademark fire.

• AJ Styles & The Kabuki Warriors beat Dominik Mysterio and the Women’s Tag Champs, Raquel Rodriguez & Roxanne Perez. (Not to mention Michael Cole pointing out the awkward tension between Dom and Roxanne, multiple times.)

• Sheamus shocked the crowd by flattening Grayson Waller with a surprise Brogue Kick, but caught a brutal post-match beatdown from Rusev and his shillelagh.

• Becky Lynch tried to walk out and ruin Lyra Valkyria's promo, but Lyra turned the tables with a sneak Kendo Stick attack, teasing their no-holds-barred SummerSlam match.

• Rhea Ripley, IYO SKY, Stephanie Vaquer & Nikki Bella took the win in an eight-woman tag match, putting the whole women’s division on notice.

• Finn Bálor & JD McDonagh retained their World Tag Titles in chaotic fashion after not one but two El Grande Americano interferences—until Dragon Lee evened the odds.

• CM Punk and Gunther finally faced off, building tension ahead of their heavyweight title clash at SummerSlam.

And of course, the night ended in total chaos.

The main event between Jey Uso and Bronson Reed was cut short by a spear from Bron Breakker, sending the crowd into a frenzy. Roman Reigns came down for the save, and the two tried to deliver a double spear outside the ring—only to get stopped cold.

Breakker and Reed beat down their SummerSlam opponents so hard… they literally stole Roman Reigns’ shoes before walking out. That’s about as Detroit as it gets.

Fans in Michigan are used to making big moments happen, and WWE’s latest stop in Detroit delivered on every level. From packed appearances to shocking in-ring twists, this Raw will be remembered. And if you missed the action, you can still catch it right now on Netflix.

If last night was any indication, SummerSlam (Aug. 2–3 in New Jersey) is going to be unforgettable.

10 Fastest Championship Matches in WWE History

A lightning fast championship match can be shocking, both for the right and the wrong reasons. Some of the quickest matches in WWE history have caused Superstars like Daniel Bryan to be catapulted to the top of the card, while others like Kofi Kingston had short moments of glory snatched away from them.

For this list, we're not counting Money in the Bank cash-ins like Dean Ambrose pinning Seth Rollins in nine seconds or Jack Swagger taking Chris Jericho's title in eight seconds. These are mostly traditional matches, minus one Money in the Bank precursor where Trish Stratus pulled the biggest heel move of her career.

Of course this is wrestling, so cheating is 100-percent legal for this list. If you happened to low blow your opponent just moments before the match began, only for the bell to ring thanks to some hapless referee -- that's a'okay with us!

Whether it be an iconic retirement match at Wrestlemania or a bizarre untelevised moment between a veteran and a rising star at Madison Square Garden, these are officially the 10 fastest championship matches in the history of WWE. Get out your stopwatches if you don't believe us!
