WWE fans in Grand Rapids have had a pretty incredible stretch over the last month, and somehow it’s still going.

It started right before the holidays, when WWE rolled into Van Andel Arena to film not one, but two major TV shows back to back. On Friday, December 19, Grand Rapids hosted holiday tapings of both Monday Night Raw and SmackDown, as well as one of John Cena's final appearances back in June.

Since then, fans have been waiting to see when WWE might come back to Van Andel Arena in 2026. There hasn’t been another Grand Rapids taping announced yet, but there is still something big to look forward to: and it comes with popcorn.

West Michigan WWE fans will be able to watch a major WWE premium live event together in a movie theater. Celebration Cinemas is now part of the WWE and Fandango partnership that started in Summer 2025, meaning fans don’t have to stream alone at home anymore. Instead, they can experience the next big event surrounded by other people who will also lose their minds at surprise entrances and near falls.

Heading to the big screen is the 2026 Royal Rumble, and it takes place Saturday, January 31st at 2pm. This year’s Royal Rumble will be held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, marking the first traditional Royal Rumble to take place outside of North America and with the time change, it makes a perfect excuse to see it with friends and fellow fans alike.

It’s also part of WWE’s ongoing partnership with Riyadh Season and Saudi Vision 2030, and it’s one of the company’s biggest annual events, right up there with WrestleMania.

Four Celebration Cinemas locations will be showing the event: Celebration North and South in Grand Rapids, Celebration Carousel in Muskegon, and Celebration Crossroads in Portage. When WWE and Fandango first teamed up last summer, the theater screenings were exclusive to Regal Cinemas, which don’t have locations in West Michigan.

If you’re new to the WWE, the Royal Rumble pulls talent from both Raw and SmackDown and is known for surprises, returns, and the kind of moments that are better when you’re watching with other fans. After all, big reactions hit harder when you’re not sitting at home alone on your couch.

Between hosting Raw and SmackDown in December and now getting the Royal Rumble on the big screen, Grand Rapids wrestling fans have had a strong start to 2026. Even without another live WWE date on the calendar yet, the city is still firmly in the mix. And honestly, watching a Royal Rumble in a theater full of wrestling fans sounds like the next best thing to being ringside.

10 Fastest Championship Matches in WWE History

A lightning fast championship match can be shocking, both for the right and the wrong reasons. Some of the quickest matches in WWE history have caused Superstars like Daniel Bryan to be catapulted to the top of the card, while others like Kofi Kingston had short moments of glory snatched away from them.

For this list, we're not counting Money in the Bank cash-ins like Dean Ambrose pinning Seth Rollins in nine seconds or Jack Swagger taking Chris Jericho's title in eight seconds. These are mostly traditional matches, minus one Money in the Bank precursor where Trish Stratus pulled the biggest heel move of her career.

Of course this is wrestling, so cheating is 100-percent legal for this list. If you happened to low blow your opponent just moments before the match began, only for the bell to ring thanks to some hapless referee -- that's a'okay with us!

Whether it be an iconic retirement match at Wrestlemania or a bizarre untelevised moment between a veteran and a rising star at Madison Square Garden, these are officially the 10 fastest championship matches in the history of WWE. Get out your stopwatches if you don't believe us!
