Muskegon Lumberjacks Allow Season Ticket Holders In For Home Games

Good news if you’re a Muskegon Lumberjacks season ticket holder, as of December 29th’s game, you can now watch the game in person.

According to WZZM with changes from the Michigan department of health and human services, the lumberjacks can host 250 fans inside their arena, which has fixed seating. The arena usually holds 3,500 fans, so attendees will be very spread out as well as required to wear face masks/covering and they won’t be able to buy any concessions. Still, they get to see a game in person.

The Muskegon Lumberjacks are part of the USHL which as WZZM reports is the top junior hockey league in the states, players in this league are hoping to catch the attention of NHL scouts and college coaches. Their 54 regular game season started in November with all but two teams, the Madison Capitols, and Cedar Rapids RoughRiders, choosing to attempt a season during COVID-19 restrictions.

WZZM says that all the USHL teams have fan restrictions because of COVID-19 but they vary based on rules set by each state, with Michigan having some of the strictest rules.

The Lumberjacks are home playing the Dubuque Fighting Saints on both December 29th and 30th and they aren't back at home until January 14th when they have a three-night home streak, first night against Youngstown Phantoms before wrapping the other two nights against the Green Bay Gamblers.
