Last week Steve announced that he and his wife are expecting their second child in August! So, for today's Daddy Tips, he included one tip for soon to be parents too.

  1. Today’s first Daddy Tip is a little bit of encouragement for anyone whose toddler has been struggling with naps during the quarantine. Charlotte had a rough few days last week where she refused a nap and it seemed like nap time might be done. Well, I’m here to say that you shouldn’t abandon nap time without a fight. A few things we did to get her back to napping was planning a big activity early in the morning to tire them out, but be sure it’s not too close to nap time or else it might backfire. And also, wake them up a little bit earlier each day until they eventually get back to napping. That’s what worked for us!
  2. The next Daddy Tip of the week is one for soon to be parents. Last week I announced that Britt was pregnant with our second daughter, due in August and I learned something that will make dads to be lives much easier during this pandemic. Always take notes of your wife’s cravings. Since people are limiting their trips to the store, you need to be tracking those cravings so you can just buy everything your lady has been craving so you don’t have to make any unnecessary trips to the store for ice cream, or peach rings, or pop tarts.
  3. And the final Daddy Tip of the week is something we have been putting off for a while now, but we’ve finally decided to do. Cut Charlotte’s hair. We were debating it for a while now and after I asked the Click of Six on social media about whether or not we should do it someone said that it will totally help with brushing her hair. And it totally worked! Instead of her hair getting constantly tangled and impossible to brush, it’s smooth as silk now. All you have to do is cut off about an inch of that really thin wiry baby hair and you are good to go!

And now it’s time for an awesome Dad Joke!

Q: How do you organize a space themed birthday party?
A: You planet!
