A nationwide protest at United States Postal Service (USPS) post offices is scheduled for this Saturday, August 22nd at 11 am.

The protests are using the hashtag #SaveThePostOffice and are getting help organizing by MoveOn.org, the NAACP, RuralOrganizing.org, as well as several other organizations.

The protests are meant to "save the post office from Trump and declare that Postmaster General Louis DeJoy must resign."  The protests come in response to reports of delayed mail service due to what many are calling a "dismantling" of the USPS.

The Postal Service is in danger of going bankrupt and being forced into a restructuring that could cause massive delays and disruptions in mail service for the foreseeable future.  But, the failing USPS has found allies in both democrats and republicans who look beyond the politicization of mail in voting and are seeing that the USPS is needed for many reasons like people receiving their medication by mail.
