Grand Rapids Organization Hosting Clothing Drive To Help The Homeless
It's easy to forget to be thankful for what we have on a day to day basis. When your norm is just grabbing your clothes, having a meal, and going to work every single day, it's easy to forget how good we have it. But, there are people in our community who aren't as lucky as we are, and thanks to one group, they're a little closer to having what they need.
Grand Rapid's own Neighbors For Neighbors was started by Helen and Roy and some of their friends, after they noticed a significant need in the Grand Rapids area for a no questions asked donation program.

Every month, they gather items with help of their team, and on the second Saturday of the month they head to Heartside Park and give out things to people who come by, no questions asked. Many other programs in West Michigan require cards and qualifications, but their goal is to just help and meet people right where they are.
After a long winter, they're now looking to replenish their stock with some stuff. So, if you're doing your spring cleaning (or shopping) you can look for these items to donate:
Donations can be dropped off at Creston Brewery and for your donation, you'll be given a $1 pint card to use towards a well deserved beverage. You have until April 13th to participate, and if you need more details you can find them on the Neighbors For Neighbors facebook page.
