New Rankings Says Ohio Is “More Fun” Than Michigan

I never thought I would hear the statement that Ohio is "more fun" than Michigan but according to a popular online publication it is.

New Ranking Says Ohio Is "More Fun" Than Michigan

Wallet Hub compared all 50 states across 26 key indicators of a good time that won’t break the bank.

Some of those indicators included movie costs to accessibility of national parks to nightlife options per capita.

When they broke down the list I noticed something deeply disturbing Michigan was ranked #22 overall while Ohio was towards the top of the list at #15 overall.

When it came to entertainment and recreation Ohio ranked #17, while Michigan came in at #24.

In the nightlife category, Ohio ranked #16 and Michigan was #23.

Did Michigan Do Well In Any Category?

Thankfully Michigan did well in some fun categories.

• #1 Golf Courses & Country Clubs per Capita

Michigan has over 650 public golf courses, and is known for its natural beauty and golf. Michigan is the third-most golf course state in the United States, after Florida and California.

• #4 Variety of Arts, Entertainment & Recreation Establishments

Michigan has some amazing music venues, my personal favorite is Pine Knob.

We also have some amazing places where big bands and teams play such as Michigan Stadium aka "The Big House" which has a capacity of 107,601 and is the largest stadium in the United States.

Despite what this new ranking says Michigan is still a fun state to live in.

I bet if you were to ask someone from Ohio which state is "more fun" they would agree it has to be Michigan.
