Overnight Bags, Device Insurance, and Catch Phrases – Steve’s Daddy Tips (8-12-20)

Steve was very excited about today's Daddy Tips because he got to show off some awesome new catch phrases that he taught her.

1. The first Daddy Tip of the week is for any parents to be who are getting ready for a new arrival. Get those hospital bags packed sooner than later. We kept putting off getting our bags ready because we like wearing our comfiest clothes but after a couple of random late night contractions and minor procrastination turns into sheer terror of not being ready to go at a moments notice. Having everything packed and ready to go really does make a huge difference mentally for everyone. So just suck it up and pack away your comfies so you’re ready to go!
2. The second Daddy Tip is to always have insurance on your phones and iPads or make sure your kiddo never touches them. Now that Charlotte is a toddler she likes to help out more often but the other day she decided to grab a phone off the counter for her mamma and whoops that thing landed right on the floor and the screen cracked. Luckily we had insurance on the phone and got it fixed up, but if we didn’t that would have been pricey. So make sure you have insurance on the devices that your kids might use.
3. And the final Daddy Tip is to start to teach your little one catch phrases. I’ve been trying to get Charlotte to say some funny things for when she goes back to daycare in the fall and I think I’ve succeeded a little bit. Check out these dope new sayings she has. (Here is a translation of what she said: “Do it, daddy!”, “It’s Superman”, “Dang, man”, “Peace out, man”) Pretty sweet, right? Be sure to constantly be teaching your kiddos catch phrases too so they sound as hilariously cool as Charlotte.
