As more COVID-19 vaccines become available and more people start to get vaccinated, SpartanNash wants to ensure that you are taken care of without having to worry about money.

In a press release from SpartanNash they state they partnered with the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services, plus other state agencies that they are located in, to offer free COVID vaccines at their pharmacies. They will be available at 88 stores across the country including Michigan, Indiana, Wisconsin, and Iowa.

Those that are interested in getting vaccinated will have to take a health screen survey and schedule an appointment. This way safety is ensured for both patients and pharmacists and so the second dose can be administered in a timely manner.

It's unknown when SpartanNash will be receiving the vaccines but you can sign up for alerts to be notified when it's available at a store near you. Links for West Michigan locations are available below.

Since the pandemic, SpartanNash pharmacies have adjusted their hours to allow walk-up flu shots, free same-day prescription delivery, and reserved hours for those most vulnerable such as the elderly and pregnant women.

If all you're looking for is a COVID test, SpartanNash offers them for free to both symptomatic and asymptomatic patients at the following West Michigan stores:

  • D&W Fresh Market – 2022 Apple Orchard Ave., Grand Rapids
  • Family Fare – 6370 Lake Michigan Drive, Allendale
  • Family Fare – 2245 84th St. SW, Byron Center
  • Family Fare – 2900 Burlingame Ave. SW, Wyoming

The company says until vaccines are available customers can continue to rely on them to stay healthy

...including affordable, nutritious foods for a balanced diet, flu vaccinations, medications and more.
