In this week's Daddy Tips, Steve gets some audio of his daughter Charlotte reading a book to her little sister, he explains a fun relatively mess free jack-o-lantern activity, and says forget cleaning your house, it's for suckers.

  1. Today's first Daddy Tip is for anyone with a new baby and a toddler. Record the toddler reading picture books to their baby brother or sister. It’s just too adorable. You’ll have to listen to the segment below to hear just how adorable it actually is.
  2. The second Daddy Tip this week is an awesome activity you can do for Halloween with your toddler. Carving or painting pumpkins can get pretty messy so this activity is the perfect substitute if you want to have some clean jack-o-lantern fun. Get some orange construction paper and cut out a bunch of pumpkin shapes and then get black construction paper and cut out different eyes, noses, mouths, and other shapes. Then you can make jack-o-lanterns with the family by gluing on the different cut outs to make faces. It’s like a spooky Mr. Potato Head.
  3. And the final Daddy Tip is to just let your house or apartment get messy every once in a while. Like seriously, it’s really hard to stay on top of cleaning every day when you have kids. Most parents know if you miss one day of cleaning, things start to pile up like dishes and laundry. But sometimes it’s better to get sleep or just take time for yourself instead of cleaning. So if you need a break and you can manage it, just let your house get trashed for the day. You always have tomorrow to clean up instead.

And now it’s time for an awesome Dad Joke!
