When people think about taking a road trip in Michigan, usually the majority of the destinations will have something to do with a lake or a lighthouse.  But, what about all of the state's waterfalls?  Michigan has more than just a handful of waterfalls and many of the larger and more beautiful reside in the state's upper peninsula.

An author for OnlyInYourState.com, Serenia Daniels, took it upon herself to plan out your upper peninsula waterfall road trip and it looks absolutely amazing!  Serenia chose 9 waterfalls stretching from the UP's border with Canada to all the way to the entrance in to Wisconsin.  The trip highlights Potawatomi Falls, Gabbro Falls, Manabezho Falls, Manido Falls, Bond Falls, Munising Falls, Miners Falls, Sable Falls, and Tahquamenon Falls.

Below is the map the author put together on Google Maps for your trip.  Feel free to edit the stops on the map to add in a few more highlights for your trip!

And be sure to check out the comments from OnlyInYourState.com's blog for some more excellent suggestions on how to add a few more of the UP's waterfalls in to your road trip!
