Popcorn and a movie go hand-in-hand.

It's a ritual. You go to the theater, buy your tickets and then head to the concession stand for some popcorn. It's almost everyone's favorite snack when they're at the movies... but not this guy.

Metro reports a U.K. man has started a petition to get popcorn removed from all theaters. Why? Because he finds it annoying and distracting. Although, Mike Shotton has always been bothered by the noise of people munching on their popcorn it wasn't until he went to see the new Star Wars movie that really set him off. He says he was so excited to see the film and hoped other "true" fans would want to see the movie in peace. However, that wasn't the case because people had to go and ruin the movie with their darn popcorn sounds.

‘I just can’t concentrate with people rustling and making noise. Popcorn is the main culprit. It needs to go.’

Shotton then thought the answer to his problems would be to start a petition banning popcorn from all U.K. theaters.

In brief it's Loud, it smells, it tastes of nothing, and shares a consistency with weakened polystyrene"

I understand not liking popcorn but does this guy even enjoy life?!

Since starting the petition almost 2 weeks ago, he has only 295 signatures.

He also plans to stand outside of theaters telling people not to purchase popcorn once inside. Yeah, okay. Good luck with that one, buddy.
