Earlier this week, we shared the Farmers' Almanac's prediction that Michigan will get hit by a "polar coaster" and experience a "frozen, snowy" winter.

A rival farmer's almanac thinks they got it all wrong.

The Old Farmer's Almanac says our winter will be "warmer than normal, with above-normal precipitation." The coldest periods will be in early December, early to mid January, late January to early February and late February.

That's a lot of very specific cold periods.

Our snowfall will be below normal, but precipitation will be above normal. Sounds like a rainy winter.

The snowiest periods are scattered from early January to late March.

We'll see which farmer's almanac gets it right. Either way, it's hard to argue with this weatherman's prediction for Michigan this winter.
