Does This Mean Pope Leo XIV Is A Detroit Lions Fan?
Even if you're not Catholic, getting to meet the pope is a big freaking deal!

Recently Detroit Lions star tight end Sam LaPorta and his wife Callahan had the opportunity.
The LaPortas visited the Vatican on Tuesday June 24th and and were able to meet the new Pope and receive a blessing.
LaPorta shared several pictures from the special moment on his Instagram with a post saying:
"Thank you to a very busy man for blessing me and my bride. A special moment we’ll never forget"

If you didn't know, Pope Leo XIV is the first American Pope, he's also a Chicago sports fan who was born and raised in the Windy City.
What Football Team Does Pope Leo XIV Cheer For?
When it comes to Baseball, the Pope who grew up on the city's south side cheers for the Chicago White Sox, but when Sunday finally comes and he wraps up mass what football team is he rooting for?
I looked around online and couldn't find a solid answer.
Seeing as how the Bears are the only NFL team in Illinois I'm assuming he's probably a Bears fan, but now that he has given me Sam LaPorta and his wife a blessing I feel like he's gotta be leaning towards the Detroit Lions.
Plus the turn around the Lions have had under Dan Campbell is something that is a miracle in itself which has to have some kind of high power involved.
Regardless of whether the Pope is a Lions fan or not I'm going to find a way to get LaPorta on my fantasy team because after getting blessed by the Pope he's gotta have a record-breaking year right?
