See Giant Crucifix Under The Ice of Lake Michigan

There is a giant crucifix that is underneath the ice of Lake Michigan that is available for viewing.

According to MLive, if you are looking for a unique experience, in the Little Traverse Bay near Petoskey Michigan there is a giant crucifix that is submerged in Lake Michigan and this is the first year since 2015 that it can be viewed.

Normally divers in the summer months view the 11-foot, 1,800 pound, Italian marble statue that is down in 20 feet of water. The cold of this winter will allow non-divers to view the crucifix.

You're thinking...why is there a crucifix submerged under the water? Its actually a memorial to people who have lost their lives on the body of water. That statue has been located there since 1986.

If you would like to make the trip to Petoskey, the viewing is scheduled for Saturday, March 9 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
