Shocking Video: Teenager Leads Police on Wild Pursuit in Michigan
A 14-year-old boy was arrested in Kalamazoo after leading police on a high-speed chase in a stolen vehicle.
The incident occurred on January 6, 2025, when officers from the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety (KDPS) attempted to pull over a white 2007 Mercury Milan that had been reported stolen from Portage.

The chase began around 1:40 PM near Drake Road and West Michigan Avenue when the driver fled instead of stopping.
During the pursuit, the teenager drove through residential areas, losing control on icy roads.
He crashed into a mailbox and trash can before ignoring a red light and crossing busy Drake Road.

The chase ended when he collided with a light pole on Arboretum Parkway, uprooting it.
After the crash, the boy attempted to escape on foot but was quickly apprehended by police officers.
The suspect sustained minor injuries and was treated at a local hospital before being taken to the Kalamazoo County Juvenile Home.
