UPDATE (1:25pm): Officials are saying that there is no evidence of shots fired on campus and no injuries have been reported.

UPDATE (1:10pm): An email from OUPD went out to students warning them to stay away from Gould Hall but to resume normal activities. Hearing reports that the University's president has told some students that the noise thought to be a gunshot may have just been equipment malfunctioning in the building.

Reports are coming in of a shooting on the campus of the University of Oklahoma in Norman, Oklahoma.

Police are telling students to stay inside after a shot was allegedly heard around 11:20 a.m. in one of the halls on campus.

A text and email were sent out to campus-wide, warning students to stay away from the area around Gould Hall.

According to the University's news site, OUDaily.com, the Norman Police Department has said they have officers assisting at the scene, but they cannot provide any additional information at this time.

Students on campus have been tweeting about everything going around them.
