Pretty much any fun you anticipated on having this weekend in Grand Rapids is getting cancelled due to coronavirus concerns. That includes the St. Patrick's Day parade that was set for this Saturday.

In a letter from the Ancient Order of Hibernians (AOH) they've chosen to cancel the parade as many of the participants in the parade backed out from the event. The parade takes place every year on Monroe Center.

The announcement was made Thursday morning before the state confirmed four cases of Coronavirus in West Michigan, which include three in Kent County.

In addition to the parade, Irish on Ionia has also been postponed for later this summer.
