Some Michigan tax credits will expire at the end of the year.  Many charities and nonprofit organizations are encouraging people to donate now to take advantage of the current tax credit before it expires.

Hurricane Irene is headed to the Eastern seaboard sometime tomorrow, most likely touching land around the Carolinas and heading northward from there. Thousands of families and businesses are being evacuated today. One thing we know for sure ... there will be devastation and hopefully only of debris and not people who were unable or unwilling to leave the area before the storm hits.

With the current state of funding for public schools being, um... less then stellar, many organizations have popped up to fill the funding void.  One of the coolest sites I was told about was DonorsChoose.org.  It has a really unique way to give that let's you give to a program that truly believe in.

When natural disasters of this magnitude happen, people often say "I wish there was something I could do to help." Well, lucky for them, there is something that you can do.
