Hi, I’m Steve and I’m a new Dad who has learned a lot of things over the last several months and I want to pass along some knowledge to you!

Each week I will be giving you some new tips for first-time parents and one spectacular Dad joke!  So let's get to the tips!

  1. Today’s first Daddy Tip is for all of the parents who have toddlers who are just a few months from turning two. Spoiler alert! The terrible twos start early for most kids and Charlotte has been no exception. Be ready to deal with random tantrums and be ready to not know what your little one wants because at this point they only know a few dozen words and still have a hard time communicating outside of pointing. It can be frustrating for both you and your child but don’t worry, I have a few tips on how you can keep your little one entertained with random stuff you find around the house!
  2. The next two Daddy Tips have to do with repurposing some of your old junk and turning them into toys for your little one! First, if you have any old textbooks from high school or college, they actually make pretty good toys for your toddler. I randomly gave Charlotte one of my old textbooks and now it’s her favorite book. Like seriously, she loves it! I think it’s because it has like 50 times the pages as any of her other books because she will spend a solid 15 minutes turning page after page after page. Man, she’s such a nerd. Just kidding baby girl!
  3. And the final Daddy Tip is another way to repurpose some of your junk. Do you have an old yoga ball or birthing ball in the house? Give it to your toddler and they’ve got a ball as big as them! Just be sure to wipe it down first, because… gross. We have an old birthing ball that we never used and so now Charlotte has this massive bouncy ball that she loves chasing around the house and yard. So, hopefully, those two new repurposed air quotes toys can snap your toddler out of a fit they are throwing a few times.

And now it’s time for an awesome Dad Joke!

Ya know, poop jokes are funny but they’re not the greatest.
I’d say they are a solid number two though!
