What You Need To Know Before Seeing The Eras Tour On The Big Screen
This weekend the biggest (and only) movie premiere is bringing Swifties to theaters across West Michigan to see The Eras Tour on the big screen.
Three West Michigan area movie chains are offering showings, but tickets are limited if you don't already have yours. However, ticket holders you'll have your chance to grab some exclusive movie merch including a free poster (included below)
The only thing not pictured is the light up wand that they're also selling, perfect the little person in your life.
However, what songs are making the movie? For those who attended the Eras Tour in person you may know the concert itself ran for nearly four hours, but the movie is only 2 hours and 48 minutes long. So, which songs made the cut?
**SPOILER BELOW FOR ANYONE WHO DOES NOT WANT TO KNOW BEFORE SEEING THE MOVIE**
According to Deadspin, these are the songs that didn't make the cut from her stop in LA where it was filmed, in order to fit the film's run time.
- “Cardigan” (from the Folklore album)
- “Wildest Dreams” (1989).
- “The Archer,”
- “Long Live”
as well as “No Body, No Crime,” which Swift performed at the LA shows with her opening act, HAIM.
However, to make up for the songs that didn't make the cut, a few “secret songs” that she played at certain dates did make the list. Those two tunes ended up being “Our Song,” performed by Taylor on acoustic guitar, and “You’re on Your Own Kid,” on which she accompanied herself on piano.
So enjoy if you have your tickets, and you may want to arrive early and expect lines especially if you want to grab some merch while it lasts. Most theaters are saying that there will only be 5 minutes of content before the screening, which is much shorter than your previews for other movies.
Swifties, this is your weekend. Dress great, bring your bracelets to trade, and make the most of it.
