Teen Injured In Shooting on East Side Of Grand Rapids Sunday Night

MLive is reporting that Grand Rapids Police are working a shooting on the city’s east side at Joe Taylor park just off Wealthy near Lake Dr. that appears to have left a 17-year-old in stable condition at the hospital.

MLive shared from the GRPD press release:

“Officers were called to the 1100 block of Sherman Street SE at 6:56 p.m. to respond to a shooting. Police found the teen suffering from a gunshot wound to the face.”

According to the MLive story, the boy was treated at the hospital and his injuries don’t appear to be life-threatening.  Police aren't sure of what led up to the shooting and are still investigating this incident.
