The 61st Annual National Blueberry Festival Returns To South Haven

Held on the second weekend of August each year, did you know that the National Blueberry Festival is one of the country’s oldest continuously-running fruit festivals? It’s a time-honored tradition that brings together families, blueberry growers, and visitors from all over the Midwest to appreciate blueberries' cultural and economic significance in Southwest Michigan.
Since Van Buren County leads the nation in highbush blueberry output, they're become the self-proclaimed capital of blueberries. The entire state of Michigan produces over 100 million pounds of blueberries each year, making it a hub for growers, packers, and agritourism enthusiasts alike. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, this weekend’s festivities are a perfect way to experience the “king of fruits” and all the delicious, fun activities that come with it!

If you plan to stop by, some of the highlights of this weekend include the Boy Band Night show on Friday night at the Riverfront Mainstage. On Saturday, August 10th you can eat your weight at the Kiwanis Club Blueberry Pancake Breakfast, or if that's not your style later in the day they'll be hosting a blueberry pie eating contest.
