The Guide To Music Festivals And Outdoor Concerts Coming To Grand Rapids This Summer

It's almost summertime in West Michigan, which means it's time to get outside and enjoy some live music. And, Grand Rapids has no shortage of outside festivals and concert series for you to enjoy.

No matter your age or taste in music, there is a place for you to hang out this summer. Here are some of the biggest music festivals and outdoor concert series that will be taking over Grand Rapids this summer

Upheaval Music Festival

July 14-15, 2023

Arguably Michigan's premier rock festival, if you're a fan of all things heavy and rock, you don't want to miss this annual festival at Belknap Park.

This year's lineup features Bring Me The Horizon, Lamb of God, Falling in Reverse, Halestorm and more. Tickets are still available on their website.

Breakaway Music Festival

August 18-19, 2023

Located in the same spot as Upheaval, Breakaway is for dance music enthusiasts. Last year it was headlined by The Chainsmokers and Oliver Tree, but this year's line up is still a little bit of a mystery.

Come dance, bring your best outfit, and have some fun at Grand Rapid's biggest outdoor dance party this summer. You can still grab tickets on their website. The rest of the lineup should be coming soon.

Rock The Lot

While normally this outdoor concert series at the Intersection is a little more rock leaning, this year they're going full yee-haw. This year's lineup includes shows from Charlie Crockett, Rodney Adkins and more

The Frederik Meijer Gardens Summer Concert Series

June 8 - September 15, 2023

Every year the Frederik Meijer Gardens brings an all star lineup to their outdoor venue, and this year is no exception. In fact, this may be my favorite lineup yet.

Some of the artists playing this year include Peter Frampton, Greensky Bluegrass, Jenny Lewis, Ben Folds, The Beach Boys, Train and more! Limited tickets are available for some shows, grab them while you can on their website.
