Just In: Thornapple Kellogg Schools Closed Today After Social Media Threat
Students that attended Thornapple Kellogg schools were sent home abruptly this morning after the school district became aware of a threat made online towards Thornapple High School.

Due to a threat against the high school, and the lateness of us receiving this notification, all school buildings are shut down today. High school and middle school students are being transported back home.
Craig McCarthy with Thornapple Kellogg Schools told News 8 that a parent came across a threat posted on social media then notified an assistant principal around 6:45 a.m. Thursday. He did not say if the threat was made by a student or someone outside the district.
No additional information about the threat was released but McCarthy said state police are investigating the incident.
Law enforcement, including a Michigan State Police cruiser, were seen at Thornapple Kellogg High School Thursday morning.
