Now for 2026 he's taken it to another level by starting out on a 500 mile journey across Michigan in just 25 days.

Lawrence Miller started his 500-mile journey on May 1st in St. Ignace.

From there he will go from Grand Rapids to Kalamazoo, Kalamazoo to Lansing, Lansing to Chelsea, Chelsea to Milford, Milford to Northville, and finally, from Northville to Royal Oak where he will take part in the Royal Oak Memorial Day parade on May 25th.

Lawrence Miller shared with Fox 17 why this trek means so much for him and other former Marines.

"A handful of years ago, I went through the darkest time of my life, and if it wasn't for the handful of guys that drug me through that, I wouldn't be in the mental and physical state I am today. And if we can save one life doing this at all, then it's all worth it. Admitting you need help is one of the hardest things to do."
